-2c sharp frost and icey, lots of mist last night and now frosty = accidents

 

There are a few blue patches as it gets lighter and it is very calm..

It says we have 2c but it’s definitely minus 2c. MetOffice believes we have 5c.
This is the coldest morning so far. I can’t even get the greenhouse windows open because they are frozen. Good that I wrapped the tree fern properly yesterday afternoon.
I take the expected 9c with a pinch of salt.

 

We had another 2mm of rain last evening. We have a fresh 7.5c this morning and clear sky with the sun rising. Going to 17c with that North wind still with us.

 

Thick fog and another weather warning. Currently 3c and going up to 8c, with full sun, when the fog burns off, if it does. Very quiet and still.

In the thick fog I thought what is this large thing coming up the road? It was the bin men. Hooray! Not really on strike then.

 

Broken cloud, 5c.
Notice humidity is 100% so won't hold my breath about last night's rain drying up much.

 

Nice and sunny so far, the forecast says more brightness to come today. Max 10c.

 

It’s dry but I can’t tell if frosty or just dew outside. Looks pretty in the sun though. A few chilly nights ahead then ‘warmer’ for the weekend.

 

It is 20f -6c and it's still dark. The guessers say that it is cloudy and will warm up to 0c 32f. I'm happy with that. I've got some digging to do and it's not been cold enough to freeze the ground more than an inch or so down.

 

Sunny with light winds from the south temp 7c feels like 5c.

 

Low clouds over the Valley first thing , crisp and fresh today . Grass bank out the bottom of our garden white and frosty first light . 7C spots of rain didn’t come to anything.

 

Quite a bit of rain overnight I think - everything's still very soggy. A frost this morning so the sky must have cleared at some point and it's been a murky day since. 5C/41F

 

Just started to rain after some sunshine but very damp, 9c.

 

Auntie Beeb forecasters said a gentle breeze and sunny spells.....................it's blowing a hoolie, been chucking it down almost all day, we have the lights on it's that dark and the fires lit, so they were close to getting it right, they said 7 degrees and it is.
