The price will never come down despite all the stupidity the government spouts, if there was to be a reduction via gas prices dropping on the world market, the energy companies would just take a bigger bite, the government would hike green levies and the customer would see no difference..

Just watched a Labout MP going on about us having the second highest energy prices in the world are because we are reliant on world gas prices, other countries in Europe are also being held to ransom by Putin, but I believe their prices are lower.

No mains gas here so don't know about costs for that altho I gather they are rising at the same rate as electricity and water.
Neither previous nor the present govt. have made any serious effort to sort out any of the utility companies since privatisation and it doesn't appear to be on their agenda even now.

Apparently leccy has gone down 15% in France since February. The most expensive leccy is in Bermuda. Ireland, Italy, Germany, Belgium and Denmark all rank higher than the UK for domestic leccy costs.

OK, so this bloke was lying, he stated we had the highest commercial energy prices and the second highest domestic energy prices.

Now I assume that's probably debatable as most people have a combination of gas and electricity.

We get the larger Romaine lettuce to use as wraps when we have Korean BBQ.

We use Romaine as well and they keep well but we take them out of their plastic.

I rarely eat lettuce these days, I go back to the days of Webs wonder, big pale in colour but very juicy, not seen them for ages, I used to grow a similar type called Windermere, not sure of the spelling.

They taste good too. Though you have to be careful not to buy the "Sweet Gem". Why they insist on trying to make lettuce sweet is beyond me.

I remember when Iceberg was all the rage, huge and tasteless.

Well you say tasteless, but at least it was crisp and juicy, cant stand these floppy green ones, has lettuce ever had a taste, I think that's why I dont bother anymore with any of them, lettuce has always been tasteless to me.
