I enjoyed George's A. tango even if it wasn't technically perfect. Very entertaining, and he was throwing Alexis around as though she weighed next to nothing ( which apparently she does, according to his comments afterwards).

Karen certainly puts her all into every dance,I admire her tenacity.

Speaking of which, Balvinder. In the dance off 5 times, but she has never thrown in the towel.
I read a comment elsewhere that she dances with her heart, whereas Amber treats it as a job.
I just knew she and Nikita would get maximum points, but it just felt so clinical imo. Some of those lifts make me wince !

As for Lewis, I had to agree with the judges. That wasn't his dance, and he seemed knackered from the get-go. I can't help feeling that Katya is pushing him too hard as the final looms nearer.

Finally, Claudia's reaction when the phone lines were declared open and Nikita scooped her up whilst she tried to maintain her dignity. Her impression of an ironing board made me laugh.

        I’m with you there @AnniD.

George’s dance was my favourite last night. I appreciate that marks are deducted for any mistakes etc but for me there has to be the magic mix of performance, music and attitude too. George is so quiet compared to the others - not sure if he would ever whoop with joy though?!

I suspect he would be terribly British about the whole thing, and just say "Thank you very much, that's awfully kind of you". @AuntyRach .

I can't imagine him whooping, which makes a change from the racket every time the couples arrive in the Clauditorium. I had to smile when Motsi told Neil Jones to be quiet.

I thought George did very well but I didn't really like the dance. It all seemed a bit disjointed and overly kicky choreography. Argentine tango should be sultry.

I really enjoyed Balvinder's waltz - well danced, good choreography and more armography than many salsas so far and she seemed to put her all into it.

Karen did well but her costume was seriously unattractive. I remember 60s hippies being far better dressed and fun than that.

I liked Lewis' performance but agree it wasn't his dance. Katya needs to calm down a bit.

Amber still seems robotic and soul-less to me, just going thru the motions with no feeling.

              Unexpected. That's all I'm saying.
My OH enjoyed the professional dancers and "He had it coming" from Chicago. No idea why .

That used to be one of my favourite piecs of music for tango @AnniD.

Unexpected indeed and disappointing but Bravo for the first 2 going thru to the next round. Poor old OH is baffled by how the publc vote can give the results it did after the judges' scores.

              We FFd the Titanique bit.
