@JWK yes, the frost free section. Though the other cynaroides is in the unheated bit and doing fine. I don't think my conditions are mild enough to keep them outside like @pete !

@pete that's good, you can now have a strelitzia grove! I grew my first one from seed as a teenager, and kept it for about 30 years before I killed it by dividing it badly.

I don't have them outside as such it gets winter protection, I left my red flowered compactor outside too long last autumn and it was getting the dead flowers of the lagersroemia sticking to the leaves in all the wet weather.
It looks pretty awful now as it caused the leaves to rot.

The one I have outside now was originally grown from seed back in the early 80s.

Unfortunately not as camera will no longer upload to laptop - been playing up for a while now.

                Is it an SD card?
I've always just uploaded direct from the card and ignored the actual camera, got a small card reader that plugs in the USB.

Yes it appears to be. Take the card out, stick it in the lap top but it doesn't do. Altho the camera is pretty old, TBH I think it's probably the lap top at fault but I'm far from a tech expert. Windows 10 I think ? Needs sorting/updating/burying in the garden ??? Thanks anyway Pete :)

I sometimes get told off by my laptop when I plug in the card reader, I get a message that says, it cannot identify what I have just plugged in and last time you did it it malfunctioned.:frown::biggrin:
I take it out and put it back in and it works, the laptop has a sloppy usb socket but it always blames me.
