    Hi Chuck,

That is a good idea. If they wanted you they would have been waiting around to grab you when you turned up. I remember when I first moved here and desperate for a window cleaner-and not in that way although........-I was up and down like a fiddlers elbow every sound that was even a bit like a ladder.

    Their loss!!!

spud: our work offices get cleaned in a similar way all from the ground with great long poles fitted with hoses. The windows look worse after they have finished, what a waste of time they are.

    Now Lads,

I think it is pretty clear from both your towns, Bolton is really the best (on the window cleaning front)

The window cleaners are mostly all changing to poles due to health and sfety (working at height regs)

I was talking to a cleaner the other day and he was explaining about it, aparantly the pole is pumped with deionised water and if done corectly the window does dry clean without rubbering off.

I think its the 'done properly' bit that is going wrong with our office windows, I reckon they rush at it too quick; they do have a rubber on one side to squeegee it off, but when its on the 2nd or 3rd story its too wobbly and doesn't get into the corners.

:mad:Too true, the word 'professional' is used today to mean expensive, it should be used to mean 'doing/knowing a good job'. Our window cleaners use ladders still, but then we go out without coats on in winter up here:D

    cheers
