[IMG] Well done Liz,you have near enough nailed it.
It is Watercress Nasturtium-Aquaticum also related to the Brassica family.A generaly good doer in my pond....It helps keep the water clear, provides cover and the fish love foraging around in it's floating roots.

It looks really good in your pond, as do the fish. It's surprising sometimes to see the dlowers of edible plants- spoken of disparagingly as 'gone to seed' because it's not the bit we want.
Is it invasive? I might try a bit in my barrel, I had water hyacinth which crept all over, provided good shade and dangly roots, but it spread too fast and was not hardy, so made a sludgy mess in winter.

[IMG] Hi Liz ,yes it can be invasive, grows very quickly in spring and summer.........Just remember YOU are in control though, of how big it becomes.....and yes it is hardy.

Thanks roders. I just read a tip in another thread about putting watercress from the supermarket in, but probably not the same variety.

I bought some from the supermarket for my pond, when I opened up the bag all I had was leaves, not one stem that I could root.
Wont be buying my plants there again. :D
