 What is this ????? It is attached to the backside of a now yellowed Cestrum leaf. It looks like a little olive pot but what is it housing?

Pete, could this be the hideout for zillions of red spider mites because if you need a 10 power magnifying glass to see them you could get that many in there! It's about 1cm long from opening to base.

I have had a few yellow leaves on the Cestrum ... which sits next to the pink Brugmansia which has been suffering dreadfully from yellowing leaves lately. Is this the culprit?

    Advice gratefully appreciated, thank you!

Thank you, Hy and walnut. A bit of a relief but still not an answer to my Bruggie. In saying that, it is now covered in budlets and new shoots from the bare stems/trunks? (there stems, here trunks?) and one that is 10cms long that somehow we both have failed to notice!

Interesting article, Hy, and answers another puzzlement to us. We have a cane trellis on the kitchen patio and little bees/wasps go in and out of every cane end .... thanks for that! [IMG]
