Laburnum

    About twenty or so years ago I grafted a bud of laburnum "vossii" onto a seedling laburnum growing in my front garden, this is the result.

    I think for sheer flower power the laburnum takes some beating, i bet not many tropical trees can beat it, if only they could breed it in other colours. :D

    Wonderful Pete - Laburnum ranks with wisteria in its cascades of blossoms.

    That is fantastic pete [​IMG] Laburnam is a magnificent landscape tree, only draw back is it's poisonous, especialy to livestock, and there have been fatalities from kids eating the 'pea pods' that form.

    Fair enough!..... Couldn't pop up and graft one on my Elm if it don't come good this year???? :D :D

    Pete, your pics look fantastic but glad it's not in my garden. Two members of the family run for cover when they see laburnum as it gives them dreadful hayfever. Shame - I always wanted a tree like yours! :rolleyes:
