    Hi
I know that container potato growing has been discussed at some length but as a beginner veg grower I could do with some advice as what to do with the compost from the potato barrel once used. Also I am hoping to grow a kitchen garden, my space is very limited and is also at the front of my house so I would like it to be decorative any design or growing ideas, recommendations would be gratefully received. Thanks for reading this.

There may be very specific and good things to do with it, but what I do is to add it to my borders. Simple, and effective! I do the same with the contents of grow-bags, etc.

Yes, you can put it more or less anywhere. Most of the nutrients in it will have been exhausted but it will still be useful as a soil conditioner. The easiest way to use it is to just scatter it over the surface and let the worms turn it in.

I would treet the potato soil as part of any rotation plan. Tomatoes should never be planted were potatoes have been (for at least one preferably two seasons.) The same could be true of the compost.
