Merry Christmas to you Ziggy. I hope you and yours had a wonderful day. I'm sure you'll find something nice to buy with the tokens and enjoy the little tree. :)

We don't exchange presents any more ... today was our 44th Christmas together (we met on Christmas Day 1967) so we just enjoyed each other's company with friends having lunch in this location ..

Thats lovely Victória. Had a lovely time, 1st Christmas without the Mrs for 24 years & no one shouted at me, swore or hit me this year, bliss.

The kids all loved it and although we didn't have much money this year, all the little presents went down really well.

1967, blimey, thats when I started school.

Ziggy, do I dare ask where the Mrs was? We didn't shout at each other today either .. but there's still four hours to go ... :hehe:

We treated ourselves to a lovely Chinese meal with our friends .. Peking duck in pancakes, yum, yum. There was no preparation or washing up to do ... :yho:

I like your work and I hope that 2011 will be more productive and prosperous for you. k-l

Thank you Victória, she just didn't want to be with her family. Can't choose your relatives i suppose.

Had a great time, just lost at scrabble & had too much homemade crunchie, but can't stop eating it( see the recipe section)

Thank you for the good wishes, much appreciated :gnthb:

:) Happy Boxing day Ziggy and Victoria and everybody else who tunes in today.
I had tickets to Great Dixter, the iconic garden of the late Christopher Lloyd,a fabulous present as I have wanted to go there for years.

    What did Santa bring me?
A nice peaceful day with my lovely wife.
A grand three bird dinner and a superb bottle of wine.
I has long chat with my son and daughter in law in Bangkok.
New camcorder and bits and pieces.
We shall be cutting into the joint of ham today and cracking open the bottle of pickle onions.
    Perfect
To all my friends on GC... whatever it is you are doing.... enjoy.

My husband and I after 22 years of having now too, much stuff, we try not to buy more stuff. But somehow he manages to find something to get me/us. This year was gadgets for the kitchen. And a new fancy martini glass for my collection from my favorite store. I got him some PJ's and a book with short plays in it for his group he works with.
But on New Years day, we are going out for another Christmas gift, to a neat restaurant and a play in Phila (the play is the secret)
