Bit of a bizare one but I ve been asked to rejuvinate a horse arena aprox size of two tennis courts. Its made of 4" of type one with around 3" further of once rolled stone dust.

Basicly the areas been unmaintained for a few years and heavy riding and rainfall has left the stone dust layer unneven.

What I need to do is break up the stone dust so it can be raked out and rolled. Cant quite work out what machine to use, a tracked digger will be awkward and probably chew it up too mutch.

Was thinking maybee running a big horticultural cultivator through with the tine depth set at 2 " then level and roll. Perhaps a chain harrow behind my truck although not sure if this will have the weight to do it.

    Ideas?

I`d go with the cultivator, Pro, the harrow wont touch it if it`s that compacted.
