The other day I popped into our local charity shop and as I was noseying around the ladies were talking about something strange that had happen.

It appears someone had dropped off a bag of clothes but with a little something else that I'm sure they didn't want to be in there.

The ladies found a large amount of gold items and would you believe it cannabis too....needless to say they contacted the police who took the drugs away although the cheeky ladies kept the gold and told the police they didn't know who dropped the gear off (although they really did).....one cheeky lad (who was helping out) said why didn't you save the stuff for me! :D Hel.xxx.

What a shame that the Charity shop people didn't contact the person (If they did know who it was). I find that morally wrong :( It could have been very important to someone. If it was genuinely for the charity then the owner could have atleast confirmed it.

What is with people today :(

Their is a crime called 'theft by finding'. If you know what charity it is Hel you really should morally contact their head office.

I agree, this could make another reason for people not giving to a charity, the person whose stuff it was, was doing the right thing, and this happens to them.

They must get allsorts of stuff in the bin bags.
I was at the post office the other week and a right row was going on outside the Carity shop.
    What I could gather.
A Mother who did her daughters washing for her had put the washing in a black bag for the Daughter to pick up at the week end and someone had taken it to the charity shop.
The women was shouting the daughter was crying and security had to be called.
    I left at this point.
