If you think the French don't like us have you seen a Frenchman communicating!! with a German? At least to the French we haven't invaded them in the last 100 years.

Its about time we took a leaf out of the French book and did the same.
I've nothing against the French as such, although they can be a bit "strange" at times.
They do stand up for themselves.
We seem to have lost the knack.

I don't voluntarily buy French products, it's my own personal protest against their cowardly way of using us as a pawn in their many 'fights' with their government when they don't get what they want by closing the ports. Remember all the lorry loads of rotting fruit and lost revenue a few years ago, I do

It's becoming that way Pete, China has a policy of world domination of the manufacturing industry and is proud of it but their standards of production are way behind the countries it wants to smother. Unfortunately too many people just don't care where it comes from as long as it is cheap.
I think our rant boat has drifed away from the cod!! :D

Geoff, I don't think it's the fact that the French don't like anyone, more like they're AFRAID of everyone :D

I quite like the French - its their couldn't give a toss attitude. If a Frenchman sees a no parking sign he almost thinks its telling him the best parking place. I remember seeing a No Dogs sign on a beach used as a handy hitching post for the family pooch. And don't tell a Frenchman not to take his dog into a restaurant. I stopped going into pubs when i got my first dog. When I was younger everyone seemed to take their dog into the pub. Now you get stuck out in the beer garden if you are lucky...there was one cafe in England where the proprieter insisted I bring my dog in when he found out the dog was in the car....but he was married to a French girl.

Geoff, you can bring your pooch into the place I work, no problem. The owners have got a dog. No critism about Kipling? I'm upset, now!! :D
