    Is your hubby doing it all by himself DQ? Looking forward to seeing the end result, and hopefully it is only a couple of weeks and not months!!!

    its nice to know i`m not alone , i must say you look worse off than me LOL :D Yes KG hubby is a builder :eek: (COULD TAKE FOREVER)so is doing the work . we`re moving the gas boiler , we`ve no hot water at the moment , massive hole at the top of the stairs where the boiler is gonna go , holes in the ceiling , he`s gonna replaster the room , will be glad when that bits out the way , cause i`m general dogs body :rolleyes: he doe`s a good job , must keep praising him :D :D :D

    Well, being a builder is a plus and I guess he will take extra care doing work in his own house. LoL is worst off than you, you are worse off then us - we are only putting laminate upstairs and that is enough work and mess.

    Oh, Webmaster, I think you should enjoy such wonderful activities as you gracefully age .... it gives you such joy and harmony in life ... such like you'll never want to experience again.

    However, some of us who are one short of a sandwich for a picnic so we do these things on a regular basis to accumulate ...

    Life is full of mysteries ...

    LoL, have your builders agreed a finishing date for the work, so that if they go beyond that finishing date you will not be charged or something simlar...?

    i`m off to london tomorrow to see sound of music , hope there not to much mess to clear up when i get back sunday , things will slow up next week cos he has to go back to work :rolleyes:

    thanks kg, its a girlie weekend we always have fun . Hubby is now going shooting at the weekend so seems like i`l be coming home to a fairly tidy home , he deserves some time out but wont`t tell him . I`ll start cracking the whip next week [​IMG] :D :D :D

    Blimey, looks a bit drastic! Sure it'll be worth it when it's done though. I'm having my kitchen and bathroom roof replaced soon hopefully, really looking forward to that too (not) although it'll be nice when it doesn't leak :D I'd love to learn to do plastering - it's one of those things that people who can do it, make look easy, but I'm sure it's far from it!

    Hope you have a good weekend and, presuming you're staying in a hotel, enjoy the novelty of a bathroom in one piece and lots of hot water [​IMG]
