Very nice E Type, I think we would all like one of those although it would be no good to me as I don`t drive.

Was it some sort of car enthusiast rally going on that day or was the driver of the chitty chitty bang bang a bit of an eccentric, out for his sunday run?

I was in heaven but unfortunately I missed seeing Chitty with the wings displayed.

I used to run a 1962 Ford Classic for about 10 years, decided when I turned 70 that it was no longer fun crawling under it.

The pale green one in the middle, got us into most shows for free.

When I used to get the train home from school we whizzed past an old dumped car and I eventually persuaded my dad to drive me out to find it. As a trained panelbeater in his youth he was unimpressed to discover a Ford Anglia!

Oh, dear, I sort of wish I had not seen this ... my 40th birthday present was an E-type or an apartment in Portugal ... guess what I chose?

I've no regrets ... two apartments here and my lovely old cottage.

But thanks, t&o, lovely memories .... [IMG]

... may still have one ... [IMG]

Oh, I must add I drive a 10 year old Renault Clio at the moment. She's lovely and likes my dusty country lanes with me. [IMG]
