Is it just me, or does anyone else like Patsy Cline? I've just been preparing dinner and I always have on the Nostalgia (same word in Portuguese) station and they just played Crazy, which I love!

I loved the Patsy Cline Story although I found it very sad ... a bit like me, do I hear you say? [IMG]

I must be because I like Westlife and Il Divo as well! But I also like Bond very much!

At the moment, they are playing Rod Stewart with Tonight's the Night ..

    What do you like?

Not country, I'm afraid, LoL! I like a lot of things, listened to Radio 1 non-stop through the 70's, rushing home from school to hear the charts, then the early 80's when the boys were little. Not a great classical fan - I like lively music, and Bluegrass things are amongst those, but if I had to choose one song or tune, it would be The Entertainer - love rag-time! :D (And it was a great film...)

[IMG] That classic song Crazy was written by Willie Nelson.......not a lot of people know that,as Dendy said classed as "Country".

Talking Country and Westlife their recent mumber one hit The Rose was also a big country hit years ago.Love it...... [IMG]

The Willie Nelson and Julio Iglesias song ... To All the Girls We've Love Before ... is nice!

Having listened to the Scorpions having dinner, whom I can listen to ANY time day or night, I have to say one of my favourite country singers is Kenny Rogers ... and I also adore Dolly Parton ... and not because of her assets, I might add! :D :D : ... and I don't want them either, a bit much to lug around when you're a wee whipper-snapper like she is! She lived not far from us in the States and is a real down-home type of gal!

Phew, that was a long sentence .. [IMG]

Dendro, you know we love Bluegrass .. but I'm a country girl at heart! [IMG]

Westlife - ooh yes, plus Il Divo. And anybody watching An Audience with Take That
tonight ITV1 and straight afterwards another - In Concert on ITV2.

Georgie Fame was at our theatre on Monday and me and the daughter went to see him. He played lots of the old songs and one or two not so old. He had his two sons with him - James on drums and Tristan on guitar. Both did a solo bit on their own. Drums got good applause and Tristan on guitar-------wow, haven't heard a guitar played like that before. The audience jumped to their feet and gave him a standing ovation!!!!
    ¸,¸¤º°`°º¤¸,¸¸,¸¤º°`°º¤ AWESOME!!

and their father wasn't too bad either

Gogs, we also are Pink Floyd, Queen and The Who fans!

Our music collection is give or take 1,000 ... it's difficult because lots are albums, then there tapes and CDs. T'other half worked in the music business in Alabama.

When we met, he was heavy metal / rock and I was English country-ish (Merrilee Rush, Mary Hopkins) so we had a bad time of it for a while .....

I suppose it's because they have to move around a lot on tour, but there seem to be other singer/musicians who have died in plane crashes.

    Patsy Cline
Buddy Holly, Big Bopper and Ritchie Valence
    Glenn Miller
    Jim Reeves
    John Denver

    Any others?

I remember that, roders. As you say, a great poet, one of his attributes.

Chase was a fantastic horn band (rather like Chicago) who sadly died in a plane crash. Fortunately we have their music! [IMG]

Listening to Me and Bobby McGee at the mo ...

Here's a question ... what's the name of the band who did "See What Condition my Condition is in?"?
There's already been a clue! [IMG]

Otis Redding also died in a plane crash. Eddie Cochran died in a car crash on the way to the airport.
