I wanted a sign for the side gate after we got the German Shepherd...and we have a dog as well. [IMG] I cannot just put up a sign saying" Beware of the dog" cause if someone broke in and got bitten, which they would, they would be able to sue because the sign would be an admission by me that i had a dog that would be dangerous to burglars. How many dogs would not bite a burglar, not many I reckon? So I am left with a sign that has the outline of a GSD and says "Dogs Loose".
Still did not stop a meter man climbing over cause he could not be bothered to ring. Me and the dog were down the garden. I told him later he was damn lucky. If the dog had sensed an intruder she would have beaten him over that distance.

My friend had a Great Dane and on her front door had a sign with a pic of him saying 'I can do 0-60 in 4 seconds - can you?' :D :D Seemed to do the trick! :D

Me and Mr.fiz were a bit lost one day whilst out and about in the van,i think it was up in Northumberland and we ended up on this industrial road surrounded by pylons and huge smoking chimney`s etc.We slowed down to read a sign post and i will never forget what it said...."Nature Reserve". Marge, I have just spent a week of being driven around every hairpin bend my brother could find in Crete and some roads had a 2,000 foot drop with NO barriers. Barriers were only on some bends. I even I had to shut my eyes a few times! [IMG]

Ok, Marge and Strongy - you've convinced me - I'm not going to Crete or mainland Greece, or anywhere round there..... can't stand heights!!! Pity really - I'd love to visit the area...

Fortunately for us I was a passenger, I just had to trust my brother's driving skills (ex BSM instructor) Saw lots of mountains and gorges but didn't expect to drive up and down and in and out of every one.

LOL!! I find it very unnurving being driven in a left hand drive car under those circumstances - to be on the wrong side of the road, the wrong side of the car AND not be in control of it is all too much

We have a sign on our entrance which says ...*

'Chien mechant ...ma®tre f©roce' which translates into 'bad tempered dog, fierce owner' This has the desired effect :D :D

Marge, continental Europe drive on the RIGHT side of the road, not the wrong one :D :D

What do you think the French will think of our feisty German Shepherd if we bring her over to France in our caravan next summer? - I am taking her to the vet this week end for her rabies shot.
A few years ago we took a black lab over and people were stepping off the pavement as we walked along. Not like in England where kids would want to stroke him all the time.
