I am trying to purchase a bottle of TURNIP Wine. Has anybody seen or heard of this?
Reason for wanting this type of wine is -
my son and friend are training to be microlight pilots and tradition is when the pilots' licence has been gained to give the instructor a bottle of wine.
As the instructor's nickname for them is 'Turnips' (could be something to do with them hailing from Norfolk!) they thought it appropriate to try and find some Turnip wine!

I am sure if there is any Turnip Wine out there the knowledgeable Gardeners Corner members will be able to tell me.

    Jo,

I would suggest calling a 'winemaking or brewing' shop near you, as they will no doubt know of one of their customers you may be able to get a bottle off of.

Thanks Bayleaf - too late to do a brew but might try some later.
Nathan, thanks, I've tried everything in Yellow Pages, locally, and a lot on line but no luck yet. Thought maybe someone on Gardeners Corner would have a bottle stashed away!

Great to get feedback re Turnip Wine - still hoping for someone to find some.

Never cooked 'cat pee' Ladybird, so don't know what it's like!

    Jo,
Everything you can think of at Tuck Mill, except Turnip.
Owner will call me if he can find out brewer near you. He rekons your neck of the woods is good for such crops and you ought to be able to find some in local country road side stalls, like his his.
