I still feel it is a Schisandra.
We have one that only went in last year.
It had the long strands of berries, so I know it is female plant

The flowers are male flowers OR female .

I still haven't had an answer to my earlier rather important question.....
    Is it a climbing plant?

I would like to see a good close up of the inside of the flowers to see all the "working parts"

      Hi

Is it a climbing plant? Naive answer - what defines a climbing plant? I think it is from the way it has strands going off in all directions rather than being one clump of activity. Most lower sections are woody and then new strands are green and flexible.

I've taken a photo of the flowers. My camera isn't up to doing very good close-ups but hopefully these are better than what you saw before.

      thanks again for your help
      Gavin.
