Peter, I was shown this excellent site on weed id on an Irish Gardening forum many months ago.
It struck me when I first saw it how good a link it was.

it was designed by "Down Garden Services, a local provider of garden maintenance and design in Co. Down, Northern Ireland."

So I can take no credit for it. I am a complete technophobe, I wouldn't have a clue how to set up a site like that!

It is full of useful info....

The space between the stars is full of Dark Matter Ziggy , making up 83% of the Universe. And they cant actually find it !

Extract from the BBC science site......
According to observations of structures larger than solar systems, as well as Big Bang cosmology interpreted under the Friedmann equations and the FLRW metric, dark matter accounts for 23% of the mass-energy density of the observable universe. In comparison, ordinary matter accounts for only 4.6% of the mass-energy density of the observable universe, with the remainder being attributable to dark energy. From these figures, dark matter constitutes 83%, (23/(23+4.6)), of the matter in the universe, whereas ordinary matter makes up only 17%.

Hi - we now have a bloom for No.2 (see attached) so it does look like Wild Violet after all. Does this mean pull up and destroy?

      regards
      Gavin.

I'm happy with them - I'd just got the impression they were undesirables.

They do spread, but i've never had a problem with them as they are easy enough to pull out.

They have a little sack of oil on the seed that ants like & carry away, helping to spread the plant, or did I dream that bit:scratch:
