Went to a lovely little restaurant in Boulogne. The French menu had helpful English translations of each dish; unfortunately I think they had been done with the help of one of those free 'my hovercraft is full of eels' online translators. I opted for 'Salmon with Rust' (a slight dusting of paprika, I think) while OH was sorely tempted by 'Salad of Crunchy of Goat'. In the end he chickened out and went for the moules, unfortunately.

      Salmon with extra minerals:dbgrtmb:

I remember being stranded in a café in Bologne with a load of office colleages, there was a force 10 blowing. The waiter came up to us, I asked what everyone wanted & then just rattled it off in French.

I suddenly found everyone staring at me, we'd spent the whole weekend in France & i'd not mentioned I could speak French. Well, they'd never asked:DOH:
