Felt the bang & went outside to find the farmer trying to reverse out of the pile of rubble in my garden.

He'd got the right turning off the road, but unfortunately couldn't tell my garden from his double gateway. Managed to convince him that he'd never get it out in the middle of the night & sent him off to bed with the instruction to drink lots of water before he passed out.

I bet he claims the relevant subsidy AND compensation. Cheers, Tony.

Funnily enough, he'd been served by the same landlord that was serving the bloke that did this to my wall last year.

Are pubs allowed to keep serving people who are so lashed up they can't stand? Had to pick him up twice last night. You know when someones had enough when they keep hugging you.

No Ziggy I don't think they are isn't it now an £80 on the spot fine for pubs being caught serving drunks? and I think they also may get there license revoked if they are repeatedly caught doing it?

dunno who you would report them to though? police? council? both?

I'm not going to make a fuss while I still own the house, its a small village & they know where I live. On your own doorstep & all that.

I'll wait till i'm on the way to Portugal.

        Just send him the bill.
The chances are he's just as concerned as you about his reputaion in the village.
If not, he may well worry about you reporting the incident to your Insurance company and they would chase him anyway, without your involvement

No bill to send really, he dug his van out this morning, hardly saying a word as his ancient stepfather was watching over him from his quad bike with a shotgun slung over the front, cussing him very loudly the whole time:snork:

          Ad infinitum.....

It was his fence, he put it up in the first place, the only damage was to the waste pipe from the washing machine & he repaired that without being asked. His stepfather says he'll put everything right, i'm sure he will. The rubble is only going to be used for a low drystone wall, which I had considered starting yesterday, good job I didn't really.

Hopefully that'll make him think twice before getting in the car lashed up again.
