Plant identification

Can anyone please tell me what plant this is.

Well I haven't got a squiggle but I'd be interested to know

 

Hydrangea? (the trouble is there's nothing in the picture to get a sense of scale and tell whether it's a shrub or a small plant) EDIT: Established that it's far too small to be that.

 

I haven't - no,perhaps I have? - a viola?
Anyway, a splendid little chap that just wants to show OFF!

 

It is about 18 ins. in diameter, and about 7 ins. high. I have a few of these in my garden, but I didn't plant them. They began growing quite tiny, about 12 months ago. When it blooms, it has tiny blue flowers.

 

Violet.

Adjuga reptans? or is that self heal? Just thrashing about desperately now.I really need a piccie with flower

I think it is on the point of flowering - within the next week. Can we all reconvene with a further piccie update please?
