    Hi everyone

I don't know if it's possible to ID this plant from the pics of the leaves, attached.

Leaf ID 1.jpg Leaf ID 2.jpg Lead ID 3.jpg

There was a Clematis Lemon Bells close to where this plant is and I'm wondering if this is a shoot from the Clematis. The Clematis itself was choked by a Virginia Creeper so i don't have any leaves to compare it with.

    Any suggestions?
    Thanks
    Monica

Ah, OK. Do you think it could be this Jasmine (....if it is Jasmine:dunno:!) ?

    Jasmine 1.jpg Jasmine 2.jpg

This plant, has (had!) tons of foliage with tiny tiny pinkish flowers. It was very top heavy and pulled the trellis off the wall. (It's also a bit boring:yawn:!). Its about 8M along from the pic I posted earlier. Do you think the one in my first post could be a runner from this one?
    Thanks

PS As you can see from the pics, the weather has deteriorated quite a bit since earlier this am:doh:

Jasminum beesianum has pink flowers and not highly scented. The first one looks more like officinale to me which will eventually have white flowers and a good scent. The leaves are different. I would leave it grow and see what develops.

OK, good idea. I've checked images for Jasminum beesianum and they do look like the one I had. :)

Usually it's just because we have the same ones; Im currently building a Jasmine 'row' featuring most hardy and half-hardy Jasmine available. ps if you like Jasmine; try Jasmine humile 'revolutum', bright yellow flowers, lovely scent.

Have just bought a ton of plants to discover I have too many for too little space! I have a vigorous winter Jasmine that I had to cut back as it's sprouting everywhere on my patio, so will let this other little guy grow and see how it does.

Winter jasmine is a bugbear for me, I love Jasmine, but this one doesn't do it for me.. it doesn't really carry a scent, and is deciduous, on the other hand it does flower over winter.

Yeah, I'm not too over-bowled by it either. I hate getting rid of plants (a bit like books!) just wish there was a second-hand shop where I could pass them on rather than sending them to Winter Jasmine heaven:sad:

ps what is the plant in front of the Jasminum nudiflorum (winter Jasmine)? Looks like a Polyscias, or maybe a Camellia with leaf curl?

Am afraid Camellia with leaf curl :frown:
Do you know the cause of leaf curl? Too much rain? Too little food?
