So the Question is to use pressure-treated wood or not? Pricewise yes. Chemically unknown, They say the new chemicals in the pressure-treated is okay and simply sent a label out saying that it is okay to use pressure treated for garden now days nowadays. Pricewise it's a third of the price to use pressure-treated wood than redwood for the garden I want to do. I'm doing 7. 4'x8'x18" and one 20'x4'x12" it about $200 a box in red wood an 72 in pt wood

What are you guys's thoughts on using pressure treated wood is it okay or is it not??

Unless you are growing organic produce, I'd go for pressure treated.

If it dont kill the plants, it wont kill you.;)

OK not very scientific, but why worry, most stuff you buy has been exposed to far more chemicals than a plant is likely to pick up from a bit of pressure treated timber.

A bit of a dodgy statement. For a start, the plants only aiming at staying alive a few years, you're probably hoping to go on a bit longer than that. It might not kill a plant at point of contact but for all we know it might kill you 30 years later.

        Looks pretty solid JD.

Never could understand the idea of lining such things.
I mean, it wont exactly keep the timber dry, will it?:)

No people keep telling me to line it so the roots don't come in contact with the wood
