The first one is a grass Gardener's Garters, Phalaris arundinaera Picta. Can be very invasive and hard to get rid of.
Sorry eyesight is too poor these days to id the others.

Yeah it has taken over most the front border.

I can try to get some better photos of the others, the plants that I do have seem to be really struggling.

Looks like the Gardener's Garters is going to be a bit of a pig to get rid of. The second one looks a bit like a rose, but its a bit blurry to say for sure - wiseowl is one of the resident rose experts, and will hopefully be able to identify it for sure for you.

The third one looks a bit like lavender in some ways to me, but then some of the leaves look a bit too fat - - maybe Silver surfer or one of the other resident experts will be able to help more.

        2. Leaves don't look right for a rose.
May need till there is more to photograph.
        3. Cannot get a scale on pic.
        How tall is it?
Please can you pick a leaf and crush it... what does it smell like?
        Wondering about Artemesia?
Ooops! Must be going senile... meant Helichrysum.. eg curry plant.
Long time since I ever had a good look at it... which is why I asked about smell.
Would rule out Lavender and or curry plant

i thought the third looks like a herb like rosemary? Its about 2.5 - 3ft tall.

If the rain holds off i'll try to get a couple more pictures when i get home.

I've googled a picture of Artemesia and it doesn't look like that to me.

See added post above... re senior moment!
Suckering means it grows by sending our roots into the soil.
A new plant will pop up where ever the roots grow.
So it can become an invasive thug.

no 3 looks like lavender to me. Some of the old types of Lavendula angustifolia are lovely big plants, with much wider leaves...

Ooooh not sure I fancy something smelling like curry outside my window. (assuming thats what a "curry plant" smells like.

I wasn't brave enough to step outside my flat last night, it was raining heavy and blowing a gale. It felt like a winters night.
