A while ago I was invited to write an article for a new fishing book called Tinca Tinca published by the Tenchfishers group, well I've just got my hands on my copy of the book which was released at the end of April and its fantastic. I feel truly honoured to be just a small part of it, something thats going to be round for generations to come :)

Well done, Bilbo!! :snork: As a long time angler I was thinking of publishing an angling book entitled "How many times I've fell in, and how many fish I've lost!":snork:

Just the very mention of Tench makes me think of getting to a pre-groundbaited swim at dawn and start to imagine the smell of bread on my hands.

Or the sight of a float next to a lilly pad, dotted down for the lift method, and through the early morning June mist, the sight of it lifting....

Very well done Bilbo, I too would like to read that article if at all possible.

                  Steve...:)

Just remembered that bit, and watching small bubbles rising where the tench were feeding on the ground bait (used to go and bait the swim late evening before as it was getting dark so nobody would know) moving steadily towards the float and waiting for it to move....

The local canal was only 10 minutes walk from home so I could be there at dawn, get a few hours fishing in and still be back home at breakfast time.
