After insisting that I take my house off the market and instructing Solicitors, my estate agent has just found out that our buyers withdrew their offer on the 1st of july.

They say they told their solicitors to tell us. Funny that, as neither my solicitors or estate agents knew anything about it till this morning when the estate agents rang their solicitors for a progress report.

    Signed : Mr Angry, Somerset.

Sorry to here that Zigs. What a nightmare. House buying seems to be one of those things that makes ordinary, usually nice people, lose their integrity. I remember when we were looking for a house, the ruthless estate agent advised me to put in an offer on 2 or 3 houses because I could always withdraw two of the offers if all three got accepted. I was mortified at the suggestion, because I knew that that could really mess with people's lives.

I hope someone with a bit more integrity comes along soon with an offer Zigs.

          Ta Clue & Madahhlia:)

Their excuse was that because I was away when their surveyor wanted to come round, they thought I wasn't interested in selling. Not allowed to visit my Daughter by the looks of it then.

I wish house buyers had to pay a deposit when their offer was accepted, it would put an end to all these shenanigans

Thanks all, sorry, not felt like chatting much tonight.

On a positive note, I've got the estate agents coming round at tea time tomorrow to take a better pic of the front, the one on right move shows the garden with nothing in it on a grey day.

                              Lame: very, lame! :nonofinger:

A step up might have been: we've seen the posts regarding those mother-tyrants-vs-school-parking - at least that may have held some virtue!

Ah well, it wasn't to be - and I'm of the opinion that when it is "right" it surely will be RIGHT! Just don't despair in the meantime, fella. All things do happen for a reason, even if we can't quite see the why's and wherefores right now.
