I have always meant to write down what is in my flower bed, I cleared out an old weed infested one and bought a few new hardy things but between my good intentions and now the useful plastic descriptions are jumbled or plain lost. So you clever chaps probably know what's here, nothing alien to homebase that's for sure...

    Number 1
    Number 2
    Number 3
Number 4 - bit hard to make out!
    Number 5
    Number 6
    Number 7

In my defense... well. I just should have done this 1.5 years ago!

The last one is an euphorbia of some sort.

Agree with Loli and Madahhlia on the above.

Not entirely sure about No 1 though, looks like it could be a dogwood. Are those flower buds or white berries we can see on the plant?

No 2 could be Caryopteris. Did it have blue flowers about a month ago?

Not sure about caryopteris, not felty-looking enough? Could it be a pittosporum? Or some sort of hibiscus?

        Does it flower at all?

        I agree with much of the above;
        1. Cornus (dogwood)
        2. Caryopteris
        3. Heuchera
        4. Ajuga
        5. Heuchera
        6. Ajuga
        7. Euphorbia
        :)

        hurrah!

Sorry, to the chap who asked if #2 had blue flowers... it did. Loli above has got it after some image searching this is what it did look like in summer. Didn't mean to ignore you...

And now my flower bed log is nicely updated. I didn't realise I had so many of the same flower! That Ajuga that you can see with a fence in the background is in the wrong spot I realise now. My mother-in-law said (in my absence) that that's in the wrong spot! I can see that as it's a bit stumpy. Something a bit more lofty would be a good replacement I think.

The more I look at the snaps of Ajuga's the more dreary I think they look. Hmmmn.
