AGM = ?

As in Lavatera maritima AGM.

allacronyms.com lists 46 possibilities for meaning, including 'additional genetic material. '

 

...Thought we were having a meeting....

 

All in the GC shed tonight then. ...any excuse for an AGM.....

IMHO, seeds and plants with an AGM, meet my expectations and even surpass them, good plants to grow.

 

Same here , if a plant has the RHS AGM it means you have a good reliable plant for the UK If I am buying a plant and see this logo on the label , it usually means you are onto a winner .



Criteria
The AGM is intended to be of practical value to the home gardener. It is awarded therefore only to a plant that meets the following criteria:

• It must be of outstanding excellence for ordinary garden decoration or use
• It must be available
• It must be of good constitution
• It must not require highly specialist growing conditions or care
• It must not be particularly susceptible to any pest or disease
• It must not be subject to an unreasonable degree of reversion in its vegetative or floral characteristics

To sum up it means even I would have difficulty killing it .

 

Well, no good to @"M" then. Her constitution must be terrible if she's always stuck on the lavatera.

 

Now "always" Only when it's a GC Shed AGM ... I know what you lot are like
