The Actor passed away peacefully surrounded by family after a bout of pneumonia.

    He was 71.

Remembered for his lead rolls in Mona Lisa and The Long Good Friday, as well as many others.

Whenever I think of Bob Hoskins I always smile, he was just that kind of character. He played so many different characters but even when playing a Villain he just made you like him. Hearing the news of his passing just darkened my day and we've lost another Actor the like we won't see again.

I have to agree with all of the above. He will be hard to replace.

Hopefully one of the channels will squeeze Last Orders into their schedule as a tribute to him - right up there with the Long Good Friday IMO.
