Do you know what tree this is?

    The one I've seen is currently about 4 m tall and bushy. They flowers were very square when opening [​IMG]

    Philodelphus. Beautiful thing. Also known as mock orange or brides blossom. Highly scented. :)

      Brill thank you! I thought it might be that as I saw a pic but I wasn't sure. This one is growing from a school over a pavement. Once it's stopped flowering and has shoots I was going to try and grab some for cuttings... Although I'm not sure of the etiquette for leaf napping in such a situation! :D

      I always ask, never had anyone say no yet!

      "Your Philadelphus is amazing, I would love to have one like that in my garden, creep-creep-creep-creep, would it be OK just to take a couple of small bits as cuttings, happy to let you have one back when it has rooted it you would like?" ... send me a fiver if it works, OK?         Same here, never been refused a cutting yet, doesn't harm to ask :snork:

        I've grown dozens of the variegated version from cuttings from the neighbours shrub, they're very easy to strike :)
