    a mate has this in his garden and wonders what it is, for real gardeners is probley easy but we are not, i have no more info yet other than a photo

    Ah, the ubiquitous Euphorbia lathyrus. A toxic sap plant which seems to have appeared everywhere this year.

    so we talking weed so remove or it a good plant.

    Weed ... although ... "a weed is a plant in the wrong place" so depends if you want it there ... or not :) I pull them up (watch out for the sap though)

        I would be inclined to get rid of it as it can become quite rampant and the sap is toxic.

        When getting rid of it you should wear heavy duty gloves and try not to break any of the stems. The broken stems will exude a milky sap that, if you get it on your skin, can cause an awful rash. If you happen to get any in your eye (it's so easy to rub your eyes without thinking) you should go immediately to A & E!
