flower ID please

    Hi can anyone identify this flower.
    I got the seed from the 'pass the parcel!' but forgot to note what they are...tut tut.
    Anyway, they have grown really well, plants are about 2' tall, bushy and have feathery leaves.
    I'd love to know what they are so I can grow them again.....Many thanks :D

    I've seen cosmos flowers which look similar...?

    I thought Cosmos too, some of them have similar tubular petals.
    Also feathery foliage sounds right for Cosmos although can't see much in the picture!

    The shiney bud reminded me of Helichrysum but I think they have more petals.

    I'm pretty sure it's an Axolotl? (and no I cant pronounce it:rotfl:) it's a type of Mexican neotenic mole salamander

    Aesculus has got it in one. This particular Axie is my little Lady Lilly, I have 2 others aswell, another white and one black, breeding like mad! They're lovely and a little like newts but much bigger.
    It's pronounced Axo-lot-ul :)

    Ok well I think that the flower is probably a Coreopsis (maybe the cultivar 'seashells') it also matches the leaf description remarkably well:thumb:

    I think both! lol
    That name rings a bell aesculus, perhaps I recognise it from the original seed packet!....thanks, I think you're right.
