    We didn't get a TV until 1953 - for the coronation when I was 7 years old. From what I remember the screen wasn't much more than 9 inches and the only channel was BBC.

        Not the rhyme, but Earthat Kitt's autobiography was called Thursday's Child. She had an awful early life so this recording she made is not very cheerful!
