Could someone identify this red flower please?

    Hello folks - I was out in the garden with the camera this afternoon and found this beautiful plant growing in our flower bed. The only problem is that I'm a complete gardening novice and I wouldn't know where to start to look to identify it. Any help would be greatly welcome :)

    I would agree with Bob. Most crocosmia are orange, but 'Lucifer' is the most common red one, though I suspect there are other red ones now.
