    Can somebody tell me what this plant is, I think it is a camelia

        We have the same one in our garden. (planted) After many, maybe 20, years it is big at least 8ft wide x 8ft high covered in blossom. Yours should flower well and take virtually no looking after apart from a bigger pot now and again. At this moment ours is going past its best. It has been a constant wonder as to how it keeps up this year after year massive blooming program.
        Good luck it will give you years of enjoyment.

          That's great thanks for the replies looks like I should repot them soon then, wouksthdy be ok in the ground I am in Newhaven on chalky soil

          Definitely would not like to be planted in chalky soil. they need an ericaceous soil, ie no lime.
