    Hello,
I was refreshing the top layer of compost in my pot grown plants today when I noticed tiny thin cream coloured worms, what are these. Should I be concerned.

Probably larvae of fungus gnats, was there any tiny black flies around?

Its a sign that the compost tends to be too wet for long periods.

Hi Pete, I don't know about the flies as the pots were out all winter. What can I do. If I ignore them will they harm my plants.

No picture Pete but if I come across one of them tomorrow I will try to take a picture, they are so tiny it may not be easy.

Hi, they look like they may be some sort of nematode, in which case they could be quite handy at predating on some other nasty soil bugs, or it's possible they may be symphillids which move quite quickly and eat roots. Either way if the plant looks pretty healthy and is growing well, I wouldn't worry too much about them
