    Hi all ,
    I am a loss for what to do with a problem patch of land , it backs onto a farm . Its about a two or three foot drop into farmers field . Its sloping a bit and its not the most solid . Any ideas be greatly appreciated

    It looks like a ditch to me, if it is a ditch then it may belong to the farmer (i could be wrong)

      Hi Jiffy , thanks for reply . It may have been a ditch im not too sure to be honest . That strip is my piece though , the hedge is farmers . Its not the best hedge , not sure if i cud strengthen it in any way . Sorry im a total novice . Would just love something more pleasing on the eye there really .

      you could plants some shurbs inbween the fence and hedge, but what ever you put in there it will get cut with the farmers hedge trimer

      You could ask the farmer if it's ok to plant some new hawthorns in/at the side of the hedge, and to trim it some times (not when birds nesting) if you trim the hedge always cut it narrower at the top and wider at the bottom
