Yesterday I was at the Farm where my Grandparents lived many moons ago, and up in the rafters of the cow shed I found the stool my Granny used when milking...Sweet memories:luv:

:yho: Pal that is fantastic.. Just love these old finds... I bet you even saw your Granny sitting on it in the shed too when you found it..! Memories...!! Now you can pass it on to Claire when you go....... :)
You must have very mixed memories & feelings about this job then Pal.....:(

I think maybe you are a little sentimental like me.. I found a book from my childhood when we cleared a relatives place out.. This means it has lain there for 50 years... I knew I had lost it, but not where.............
It was wonderful to find as it was my Aunts before me & her cousins before that & her mothers before....!!! Now it will go to my granddaughter when she is a little older...:D

Wow, Pal ... bet you felt a bit choked up .... what a treasure you have there. Expect to see it sitting in a proud place of position in your garden soon .... or do you have a nice fireplace indoors for it to accompany? :luv:

Very emotional I can tell you:cry:...never did I ever think I would find such a precious thing from the past. However,Mrs Pal reckons the kiddies she minds would wreck it in the house!...So at the moment it's safe inside my shed..:gnthb:until I find a special spot.

Hi Paladin, what a fantastic find. These things take us right back to our childhood and all the lovely memories associated with it.
I would keep it in a very special place but somewhere where you can look at it often. :)

You must have been choking up when you placed your hands on that.

I have my Nannas glasses, odd the little things that mean so much.

We are busy doing just that. I don't think there is an attic or chest in the family that hasn't been searched.....the problem is that my Mum's brothers are not too keen to help..there are a couple of family secrets they don't want made public....haven't the heart to tell them I already know:hehe:
