    (New to me, that is!)

One of them is named "Godzilla" and grows to a width of 1.8 metres!

I hate Vine Weevils with a passion. Don't mind slugs and snails but I hate vine weevils and blackbirds. Those two creatures cause more destruction than all the rest of nature's army combined. I've put the pots into those plastic trays for growbags and filled the trays with water to deter the evil weevils until I have time to plant the ferns.

You can come and take all mine away. Mine have evil orange eyes and when I appear in the garden they instantly scurry off and skulk under the bushes. :) :) All their crimes probably weigh on their conscience so they run and hide, e.g. like the time I planted 80 cyclamens and they pecked 77 of them into nothingness. Apparently they don't like daffodil bulbs but adore a nice juicy tulip bulb also. I have a pet name for them..........Beelzebubs. :) :) :)

                    Hmmmm.
I ordered some plugs from Shady Plants at the beginning of spring, and tbh I have had mixed results
2 are thriving, 2 struggling and 2 died.

Ferns need to be in the right soil and generally in shade and out of the wind.

If they don't like where they have been placed, they'll let you know very fast. You'll have to analyze what they didn't like.
