I was told by someone that the Black Baccara was very difficult to grow here in the UK. I would be very glad to hear your comments Woo-I had those roses for my wedding and would love to try them here.

Hi Lollipop Personally I think it is OK to grow no different than other Roses,This Rose was originally grown for the cut flower Market, and is still grown by the 1000,s in Equador and Columbia, and exported here in the U.K.,all our rose nurseries sell it ,I find that it just needs a little more care and attention than other Roses to keep it disease free,And with your Knowledge and concern for your Roses It would be no problem for you,Go for it Lollipop:thumb::)

I think I will-anything I need to particularly watch for-or is it generally just prone to disease?-And a nursery recommendation would help too, if you wouldn't mind.

Hi Lollipop Not really Its just that most Roses that are nearly Black are said to be more susceptible to fungal disease.,But I wouldn't let that put you off this Beautiful and unusual Rose:)
