They are quite easy to grow, but take about 2 - 3 weeks to germinate, when you see them show their heads, even then they are slow for a few...
Growing some again this year, I kept the roots / tubers from last year, but they never grew again, I was storing them like I would a Dahlia tuber.

Even with my Auto Vents the Slugs love the greenhouse :wallbanging: just been in mine at 10.45pm and found 2 baby slugs eating the Dahlia...
I think air flow is a must....got a Automatic Vent on mine, opens at about 20.c and is fully open when the temperature reaches about 28.cMine...
You plant them in year one and they will flower in year two, I started some a few years ago in about July and plated them out in October and they...

Agreed....I normally take the bulbs out, but there are some varieties that are hardy and can be left in the ground all year, but if your not sure...
