often done it, about 2 years ago it got so cold we put the sides on the gaz and turned on the gas BBQ, very cosy.

Pete, thanks, i have plants which appear to have just flowers and plants which have a flower and fruit on the end. Are these males and female plants?
Lavender, went out last night under the cover of darkness armed with a tourch, could not see anything crawling about. Last year i think i had it...
Can anyone help; we are growing pumpkins this year with my 8 year old, problem is as the fruit gets to about the size of a golf ball the flower...

I would suggest a pump, just to keep the water moving, this will help stop it being a stagnant green feature. Even a small waterfall would then...

Waco, do you mean cut the small weedy type canes off, which is what i do and leave the strong tall new growth?
Tropical, when i see the black at garde centres in pots they appear to be more upright.
