Never tried dioicus from seed, but the dwarf Aruncus, A aesthusifolia, seeds itself around for us.

I would keep a close eye on that, it has the look of Carex pendula which is a terrible seed weed.

The Yellow leafed one is as bed as the ordinary one too. I dug out every root I could find for 10 years and it was still there when we moved house.
They are thugs. Also when they have finished for the year you would need to spend hours cutting them down and disposing of the very tough stems.

The old BBC site would not allow one to type the word commonly used for re-planting seedlings in fresh compost, so we had to split the word up.
