    found in woodland in central Italy, very scented. It is a picture I picked up online so I have no further info. Any idea? Thaaanks

      The colour is lovely but the surface looks absolutely dreadful. First time I've seen a piece of vegetation that could ward off consumption via ugliness!

      Maybe we should start a thread about weird/ugly plants and fruits...:heehee:

        Looks a bit like Ugli fruit

          Had a picnic under an Osage Orange tree in Utah many years ago.
          These were lying all around.

          Still not certain though.

            Yes, it looks like an Osage orange to me too. I was introduced to these fab fruit in a botanic garden.
