2020 Butterfly and Moth Images

    Almost didn't bother taking a camera out this afternoon as there's only been one butterfly about if I'm lucky, and never close enough to photograph, but thought the one day I don't I'll see something to make me regret it.

    Initially thought this was a Holly Blue on a Dandelion, but thought it wasn't quite right and needed checking when I got back.

    Because of the faded colours on the rear edges of the underwings, thought it could be a worn out end of season Silver Studded Blue.

    @strongylodon , you have posted images of those, what do you think?

      Difficult to say @Scrungee, Common and SS Blue both have coloured spots on the underwing but I imagine both would have faded by now so I couldn't say which.

      All I saw at Arne today was this Speckled Wood and a Common Darter.

        First small tortoiseshell in the garden today, feeding on the Daphne.
