      I assume they are 6" "T" hinges not Thinges or thingees!

          but what is a t hinge because I have never seen a 't' hinge. even if that is what it is supposed to be?:gaah:

              The same shop sells a pack of 'Four Candles' which are towards the bottom right of this picture. They're tied up and have a red label. The shop has a photo of Prince Charles holding 'four candles' and laughing.

              The drawers behind the counter are about 150 years old.

                Wow what a step back in time shiney.. We used to have one not unlike that in a market town nearby until about 25yrs ago but it was really dusty & untidy but lovely.. "Old Harry Morely's" he kept the shop which was his father's beforehim until his death when Harry was 90 something..!! :SUNsmile:

                I can remember shops like that where the staff wore brown overalls, knew what was in every draw, weighed nails out in ounces, and wrapped your purchases in brown paper & string. And any member of staff less than 50 years old was referred to as 'young' xxxxxx.
