An old friend was jsut reminding me today about the story she'd heard at her office about a yucca, bought in M+S a few years ago. She bought it, took it home, and was perfectly happy with her new plant, then a few weeks later a squad of white-overalled men arrived at her door, and explained they had to get in to search her house for a trantula spider that somehow they knew had been in the plant she bought! They searched and searched, and eventually found, in a sleeping bag under their stairs - a female tarantula plus rather a lot of babies!! Ooh-er!!
I think I'd have moved house that very day!!

I wish I had the pot .I would have kept them. I love spiders. Used to keep red knee tarantulas and brown bird-eating spiders many years ago. In house advisor isn't so keen and the reptiles went when we got married [IMG] I still have 4 oriental fire bellied toads (12 yrs old) in a 3ft auarium and tropical fish so I haven't completely given up. I'd definitely agree with the in-house advisor!! But a friend of mine has a snake - californian king snake. I haven't been to visit her yet, can't think why! ;)

Nasty snakes, they are, non venomous but they eat Rattle snakes , poor Rattlers, all that venom and they don't stand a chance. Milk snakes are really beautiful trust me den , go and have a look, I mean, you like spiders! :D :D

HAve you noticed they're in the new avatar?? Probably not, since it's a bit blurred! Must get a better one! Maybe dog in snow boots without man holding her?? Probably not - will find something eventually - but not a snake, nor a real spider, that's for certain. :D
