Solved A white flower-spike plant

    can you identify my mother-in-law’s plant for us? It’s the white flowers on the long reddish stems, with lime-green crinkly leaves in rosette formation.

    As far as I know, it is flowering now...

    The flowers are larger than a persicaria or Veronica, and the stems are long... (wall is about a metre high, if that helps with scale) the soil is rich, coal-spoil, as she’s in a welsh mining town.
    It’s the leaves that totally flummox me - I’m going to try to scrounge a cutting, for what it’s worth!!

    I don't usually guess Sian but it looks like some sort of Saxifrage to me.

    Looks like a white flowered version of Francoa sonchifolia.

          Not sure if they come true from seed, but they are very very easy from seed.
